Everyone has intestinal parasites one way or another. While some intestinal parasites are passive and do not make their presence known by creating problems, others are very active and announce their presence by causing stomach and digestive problems that lead to severe complications.
Most of us have these parasites or pests in our stomach and intestines but do not realize it as they are comfortably ensconced and living happily feeding on our food. These parasites can come from pets, infected children or food and a visit to a nursing home and even eating out where cleanliness and hygiene are not a priority.
While many of these parasites can live in the intestine for years without causing any trouble and showing any symptoms, there are many parasites that can cause health issues.
Some of the symptoms
that can eventually develop with presence of intestinal parasites are:
• Abdominal pain
• Gas or bloated feeling
• Loose stool containing blood and mucus
• A rash around the rectum
• Pain or tenderness in stomach area
• Constant fatigue
• Loss of weight
• Passing of a worm in stool
Even though the doctor can prescribe you drugs and medicines to kill the parasites, there are numerous herbal and natural remedies too that have proven effective in killing these parasites. Herbal remedies are a better way to get rid of these parasites as they leave no harmful side effects or cause any problems that are sometimes caused by taking chemical laden drugs.
A research was conducted at the Obafemi Awolowo University in Nigeria that showed that dried papaya leaves are very effective for getting rid of intestinal parasites. In this research, patients suffering from parasites were given papaya seeds that eliminated 75% of parasites in one week. While the papaya seeds are a bit peppery in taste which many people do not like, adding honey improves their tastes and helps to get rid of the parasites very effectively.
The best way is to take these seeds on an empty stomach for maximum effect.
Another way to get rid of intestinal parasites effectively is eating two raw garlic cloves every day. Due to their sharp taste and acidic effect, garlic helps to kill these intestinal parasites very successfully. If you cannot chew garlic cloves and are fearful of the bad odour, you can also crush them and take the paste with little water to make swallowing easy.
Herbal remedies are a great way to get rid of the unwanted intestinal parasites that make their home in your body which eventually leads to health concerns. These herbal remedies cause no side effects and end the problem very effectively in the minimum time while at the same time they are easy to obtain and use.
